BookPet started life as a custom booking system for a licensed boarder in the UK. Everything that saved them hours each week is now in the product.
Live price estimates
Customers see the price as they choose dates, dogs and extras – shared rooms, puppies, second dogs and add-ons included. The price is checked again on our server, so it can’t be tampered with.
Licence-ready questions
Vet details, vaccinations, kennel cough, flea and worming, emergency contact, insurance, feeding, medication and behaviour. Switch each one to required, optional or off.
T&Cs with a signature
Start from a UK boarding template, make it yours, and ask customers to type their name to agree. Their signature and date are kept with the booking.
Deposits by bank transfer
Set a percentage or a fixed amount. Your bank details and payment deadline go out with the confirmation, and you tick “deposit received” when it lands.
Calendar feed

Most booking software is written for American kennels. BookPet speaks your language – pounds, UK dates, UK English and the records your council inspector expects to see.
- Your licence number on your booking page. Add your licence number, issuing council and expiry date once and they’re shown to every customer.
- The records the 2018 regulations expect. The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 ask boarders to keep owner, emergency contact, vet, vaccination and care details. BookPet’s question library covers them, so every booking arrives with the full record.
- Licence-friendly service names. Use the same wording as your licence, such as “Overnight boarding” or “Day boarding”.
- UK data protection built in. Hosted with UK GDPR in mind, with export and delete tools for when customers ask.
BookPet helps you collect and keep records. It doesn’t replace your licence conditions or your council’s guidance – always check what your own licence requires.

Questions people ask
How long does it take to set up?
Most businesses can have a working booking page in about 15 minutes. Start with our templates for services, questions and T&Cs, then fine-tune your prices. Every step can be changed later.
Do my customers need to create an account?
No. Customers fill in your booking form and get a confirmation email. There’s nothing to download and no password to remember.
Do I need a website?
No. Every business gets its own booking page at bookpet.co.uk/book/your-name, plus a QR code. If you do have a website, you can embed the form on it with one line of code.
Can customers book without me approving it?
Not at the moment: every booking is a request you approve or decline, so you stay in control of who comes to stay. Optional instant confirmation when you have space is planned alongside availability and capacity.
Can I take card payments?
Right now deposits are paid by bank transfer, with your details sent automatically on approval. Card deposits and payments through Stripe are coming on the Plus plan.
Is my customers’ data safe?
Your customers’ details belong to you. We look after them as your data processor under UK GDPR, store them securely, never sell them and never contact your customers for our own marketing. See our privacy policy and data processing terms.
What happens after the free trial?
Your 14-day trial needs no card. When you’re ready to take real bookings, choose a plan and go live. If you don’t, your booking page simply stays in test mode.
